Crafting an exceptional bio is your opportunity to stand out and increase your chances of securing visits. A compelling bio enables visit organisers to gain insight into your exceptional qualities as a companion, enhancing your success in job searches. Here are our top tips for creating the best bio:

  • Emphasise Relevant Experience: Highlight any experience within your chosen support category. For example, if you aspire to be a childcare companion, tailor your profile to showcase your childcare experience.

  • Personal Touch: Share a bit about yourself, your hobbies, and interests to create a more personal connection with potential organisers.

  • Current Activities: Provide key details about what you are currently engaged in, whether it's nannying, studying, or any other occupation.

  • Concise and Clear: Keep your bio clear and concise. Short and impactful bios tend to perform the best.

  • Proofread: Before publishing, proofread your bio to ensure it's free of spelling or grammar errors that may detract from your credentials.

By following these guidelines, you can create a bio that sets you apart and makes you a more appealing choice for visit organisers.

Here’s an example:

Hi, my name is Gabby, and I am happy to assist you with everyday tasks. I’m available Monday to Friday between 9am to 5am to support with everyday living tasks.

Whether you are needing help with errands, gardening, dog sitting or just a casual chit chat I will be happy to assist. I love helping the community and bringing a smile to people's faces! Here are a few facts about me; I am fluent in English and have just completed my nursing course. I am keen about gardening (this was a hobby I picked up during lockdown) and I absolutely love dogs 🐶. I think I definitely would be a vet if I could go back and redo my course.

As a companion, I would be more than happy to help with household chores, a chat over a cup of tea, and light DIY activities.

I hope I can be of any assistance and become your regular companion!
