Trust and safety are paramount to us, as well as to the thousands of companions and organisers on our platform.

While the app simplifies the process of receiving job requests from local organisers, the choice of which organisers to interact with and visit ultimately rests with you. You are the best judge of the scenarios with which you feel comfortable. With that in mind, here are some guidelines to help ensure every companion's safety:

Review their profile: When you receive a request in the app, you can tap on the profile to examine information such as their biography, visit requirements, and reviews left by other companions. If an organiser hasn't provided a bio, feel free to message them in the app to request more information upfront.

Ask questions upfront: In addition to seeking additional information about them, take the opportunity to inquire about the visit requirements and the individuals you will be assisting, especially for childcare and eldercare visits. You can even propose a video call via our in-app service, which organisers often appreciate.

Do not share your address: companiions does not disclose your home address to anyone on the app, and it's advisable to keep this information to yourself if asked.

Pre-sit meetings: On occasion, an organiser may suggest meeting before a visit to facilitate mutual familiarity.

Trust your instincts: You have every right to decline a visit request if you are uncomfortable with the requirements or if the organiser hasn't provided the necessary information for you to feel safe.

In such situations, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@companiions.com to discuss your concerns. Your safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us.
