At companiions, we’re striving to connect you with the best local Companions.

We understand that you rely hugely on the reliability, trustworthiness and all-round brilliance of our Companions and similarly, our Companions want to work for visit organisers that are respectful, kind and fair.

So we’ve put together some simple - and fairly obvious(!) guidelines which we ask all visit organisers on the app to follow:

1. Be kind: Please aim to treat your companions politely and respectfully. Essentially, the same way we’d want them to treat us and our loved ones. If you want to share direct feedback please deliver it respectfully and fairly.

2. Ask before adjusting times: If you need to change the timing of a confirmed visit then that’s normally going to be fine, but please do check-in with the Companion first, ensuring it’s OK before updating it in the app.

3. Give enough information: Use your profile section and the visit notes to ensure your Companion has the information they need up front to feel comfortable with you and the visit requirements.

5. Communicate well: Whether it’s about the visit location, arriving back later than planned for child care visits or - most importantly - just being contactable and in touch, please ensure that the lines of communication with the Companion are clear and open before, during and after the visit.
